GaymerX, the first ever LGBTQ-focused gaming convention, is returning for 2015—but, for the first time, it will be hosted in the San Jose Convention Center! Yes, our very same venue, coming up on December 11-13, 2015.

As with the last two years, Further Confusion has partnered with GaymerX, and will be present to share Further Confusion with GX3 attendees. This year, we will also host a Further Confusion party on their party floor on Saturday night! Details to follow, including our room number, but expect a lot of free food, drink, and fun.

Interested in joining us at the party? Just want to see a big awesome gaming convention? Use our coupon code GX3FURCON during checkout and get 20% off weekend-long tickets. What are you waiting for? Register now!

FC 2016 Fall Update!

Hey there everyone! We’ve got a lot of fantastic news to share about FC 2016!

First and foremost, we’d like to announce our Guests of Honor for 2016! We’re proud to welcome Dana Claire Simpson, syndicated cartoonist (“Pheobe and Her Unicorn”, “Ozy and Millie”) and recent recipient of the Washington State Book Award as our featured Guest of Honor. She is joined by three Community Guests: Syber, Fox Amoore, and Pepper Coyote. We’re thrilled to have a fantastic group of talented artists and musicians join us this year! Read more about our Guests here!

Announcing our 2016 charity: NAMI Santa Clara County! NAMI works to provide support, education and advocacy; to promote research; and to reduce stigma and discrimination regarding mental illness. We’re planning to support them with multiple charity events, including the return of Fancy Friday and the reincarnation of our Charity Auction! Learn more about our charity here!

Our Panels, Art Show, and Conbook are all open for submissions! Got a topic you’re passionate about? Share your knowledge with other interested furs by hosting a panel! Our Art Show is steadily filling up spaces–we anticipate accepting applications until mid-November, but the earlier you submit yours, the better! Lastly, our annual convention book is seeking submissions for 50’s diner-themed artwork and short fiction, as well as approved advertisements. Submissions should be received no later than November 26.

Hotel update: as of this writing, both the Marriott and the Hilton are sold out of DOUBLES for Thursday to Monday stays. Kings are still available at both on-site properties, and doubles are available right down the block at the San Jose Fairmont!

Registration is still very much open! Take advantage of $10 off the at-the-door pricing for Attendee memberships, and get some awesome gifts in return for Sponsors and Super-Sponsors!

We’re very fortunate to work with an amazing “kitchen staff” of generous volunteers who offer their time, energy, and resources to keep FurCon running smoothly every year. Interested in volunteering? We can always use additional help in various departments! Join us as a Volunteer, or come by our open staff meeting this Saturday at 1pm in the San Jose Hilton!

Thanks everyone! If you have any questions, you can always reach us at info@furtherconfusion.org. Hope to see you on Saturday or in January!

Our 2015 Guests and Charity!

We’re proud to announce our Guests of Honor and charity for FC 2015!

PenguinsWe’re honored this year to bring to you two of the most masterful puppeteers working in the field today. Warrick Brownlow-Pike and Andy J. Heath have worked in many movies and television productions, but the furry fandom recognizes them most from their work on the hit BBC television show Mongrels. We are greatly humbled to have these two amazing puppeteers with us in January of 2015!
RDRlogo Rocket Dog Rescue places non-aggressive dogs into temporary foster homes where they are socialized, spay/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for any medical or behavioral conditions which would otherwise limit their adoptability. We then actively seek out permanent quality homes for these deserving animals through our volunteer network, online adoption page, weekend adoption fairs, and neighborhood poster campaigns.
