Further Confusion is proud to welcome the following as our Guests of Honor for 2011!!

Blotch

Blotch, a collaboration between two talented artists has been a major force on furry fandom since they emrged there. "Blotch" is actually the collaborative efforts between Tess Garman (aka Kenket) and Teagan Gavet (aka BlackTeagan), with one sketching and the other painting. They work mostly in traditional media, slaves to the good ol' fashioned pencil, paper and paint.

Tess Garman (the painting half) has a degree in wildlife and scientific illustration, while Teagan Gavet (sketching half) has a background in animation and character design.

Their work on innumerable projects has garnered them wide fame and accolades. Of particuar note their graphic novel Dog Days of Summer is set in Australia so of course we had to consider them as a Guest of Honor this year. Their latest project, Nordguard, is being released at Further Confusion 2011 and we expect it to garner recognition well beyond our fandom, and hopefully will get some consideration for an Eisner Award at the annual Comic-Con International convention.

More information on Nordguard is available via the project's webpage at http://www.nordguard.com/, and you can follow updates on Twitter.

You can find their online galleries and more information on the artists at their website - http://www.blotchinc.com/.

Paul Kidd

A prolific writer, dedicated creator and storyteller, Paul has been active within furry fandom since its earliest days. He is the author of such furry novels as Fangs of K'aath, Mus of Kerbridge, Dreamscape, Petal Storm and A Whisper of Wings. His D&D novels have been fan favourites. Paul has also been a prolific comicbook writer, creating such things as Tank Vixens, Cyberkitties, Fangs of K'aath and innumerable short stories.

An avid RPG gamer, Paul created the Albedo role playing game, as well as Lace and Steel. Computer games credits include scripting the Discworld series for Terry Pratchett, as well as creating many old classics for home computers and nintendo.

Paul has most recently been working as a scripter and producer in the film industry. His scripting credits include work for Eric Idle, Jon Pertwee and Tony Robbinson. He is currently engaged as a producer with the Hollywood EPIC film fund - which will hopefully lead to getting his own feature films and TV series out in the near future.

Oddly enough, he is also a trained fight choreographer...

Paul was the 2009 inductee into the MidFur 'furry hal of fame" award. He is renowned for clomping about SF cons in massively elaborate costumes and fursuits.

His most iconic furry characters would be 'Sandhri the storyteller" from Fangs of K'aath, "Shadarii" from A Whisper of Wings, and the dreaded Udda and Hilda from Tank Vixens.

Paul is a rabid wargamer and RPG gamer. He is a senior student with the ancient Katori Shinto Ryu Japanese sword school, and is an avowed obsessive over tanks, armour and things that go "squeeee!"

You can find more information on Paul at his website - http://www.purehubris.com/squeee/ as well as his page on FurAffinity.
