What nights are the Further Confusion rates available at the Fairmont?
This year, rooms are available at the convention rate from Tuesday January 19th through to Wednesday January 27th, 2010. (The dates of the Convention are Thursday January 21st to Monday January 25th, 2010)
Is it true the hotel no longer offers smoking rooms?
The entire hotel is non-smoking. Designated smoking areas are available outside of the building.
How do I obtain a room on the Fursuit Floor?
We're sorry, but the Fursuit Floor is completely sold out.
How do I obtain a Deluxe room in the South Tower?
You may select this room type at the time of reservation. However, by requesting this room you will have to pay an additional fee. You may automatically be assigned to the South Tower at no additional charge, but there is no guarantee.
How do I obtain a One Bedroom Suite?
You may select this room type at the time of reservation. Rate is $229 per night, plus taxes.
How do I obtain a room on the Party Floor?
To request a room on the Party Floor you must fill out the web request form.
You must supply all data requested including your Fairmont Hotel reservation number.

How do I obtain a Room in a Quiet Section of the Hotel?
You can request this in the notes section of the Fairmont's Online Reservation form or with the agent at the time of reservation
I want to make sure that I get two beds in my room when I arrive at the hotel this year!
Make sure to select this room type at the time of reservation. Rooms with two beds will go quickly, so make your reservations early. A limited number of rollaways will be available for rooms with one King or one Queen sized bed for a cost of $25. These will also go early, so please make your reservation as soon as possible.
Will there be an overflow hotel/motel set up for attendees of Further Confusion?
An overflow hotel will be announced when necessary. All overflow hotels will be within short walking distance from the Fairmont.
Can I bring live animals to Further Confusion with me?
The hotel is dog/cat friendly and welcomes up to two pets per room. Each dog must weigh less than 70 pounds and must not be left unattended at any time. Additionally, fee of $75.00 will be required and any damages done to the room will result in additional charges. No pets are allowed in the food & beverage outlets due to health regulations. Service animals are not "pets" and as such are excluded from cleaning charges and food & beverage outlet restrictions.

What is the charge for parking at the Fairmont San Jose ?
The Fairmont San Jose offers valet parking for a limited number of vehicles. The current cost is $26.00 for overnight valet parking; parking rates are subject to change without notice.
Are there any other parking options in the area?
There are several other lots and garages in close proximity to the hotel that may be a less expensive option. These lots and garages are not affiliated with the Fairmont San Jose. Please visit the Downtown San Jose Parking Map, as well as our own page on Parking for more information.
Is there any deadline for making special hotel requests?
Requests are granted on a first come, first served basis. Please make any special requests as soon as possible.
Can we put any signs/posters on our door?
Room signs may be affixed to hotel room doors so long as they are PG or less in rating and so long as they are affixed using the approved Scotch-Blue Painter's Tape. You can obtain this kind of tape from any Office Supply store or (in an emergency) Convention Operations.
I was able to book some rooms at the con rate and another at full rate, will you be able to convert them to the con rate.
No, this will not be possible. Please book your reservation as soon as possible within the block to get the Con rate.
Will you have a waiting list for regular rooms at the hotel?
A waiting list will not be available.
Can I sleep in my car/truck/camper at the Fairmont Hotel?
