TherapyPets is a 501(c)3 California nonprofit public benefit corporation that facilitates animal-assisted therapy. They are an all-volunteer group that helps match partnerships between TherapyPets pet-owner teams and facilities. They also try to meet the growing needs of their ever-expanding membership and support the ongoing educational needs of volunteers and the facilities with whom they contract. TherapyPets has set guidelines for evaluation, registration and visiting with dogs, cats and other kinds of animals to nursing homes, hospitals and other facilities for old and young alike, to provide pet-assisted therapy.
Guide Dogs for the Blind provides enhanced mobility to qualified individuals through partnership with dogs whose unique skills are developed and nurtured by dedicated volunteers and a professional staff.
Established in 1942, Guide Dogs for the Blind continues its dedication to quality student training services and extensive follow-up support for graduates. Their programs are made possible through the teamwork of staff, volunteers and generous donors. Services are provided to students from the United States and Canada at no cost to them.
NARF is dedicated to protecting dogs, cats, and horses. They strive to eliminate animal overpopulation through spay and neuter programs and public education. Their volunteers rescue and shelter cats, dogs, and horses in need. They provide medical care and locate quality, permanent homes for these animals.
