Each year, we have some folks who need a little bit of extra help in affording the trip to Further Confusion. This is your chance to help them out. The folks listed on this page are folks who have specifically requested help from the fandom and are people we feel are worthy of your consideration.
If you need just a little help in getting to Further Confusion 2008, we're here for you! FC can offer travel assistance to those in need. Just e-mail us at (with 'Travel Assistance' in the subject line), and we'll add you to the list below.
When e-mailing us, make sure that you include your real name, fan name, mailing address, and provide a brief description about yourself and what you feel you can contribute to the convention. Note that the deadline for getting on to the travel assistance list is October 1, 2007.
If you want to make a donation to the convention to help a specific person listed here, here's how you do it. Send us a check (our address is listed on our Contacts page) with the name of the individual listed in the memo field of the check (or money order, as the case may be). We will deposit that check into our accounts, and on December 5 we will notify the person of the amount received on their behalf. We will NOT reveal the names of persons who have made such contributions unless both the recipient and the donor desire us to.
I'm a disabled student, on my last year of undergraduate work. I am working towards a degree in Rangeland Management and Ecology, and then a PhD in Range Management or Range Science. I plan to start a research facility in a few years, to work with livestock and wolves, to create solutions to the problems surrounding wolf recovery in the Norther Rocky Mountains, as well as to contribute to our ranching and wolf knowledge through research.
I am making fursuits as a hobby, and to help fund my way through school and to be able to enjoy myself while in school. I hope to make enough by making fursuits to make it to a few conventions this year, though I'm not certain how well I'll do just yet.
I hope to contribute to FC by once again presenting about wolves and wolf recovery, as well as wolf spirituality. This year I will be presenting with a formal Powerpoint presentation, and hope to bring some props such as a wolf pelt to upgrade the presentation. I will also be bringing my fursuits, including the new and improved Red Fox; who premiered at FC 06, as well as my wolf fursuit, and any other fursuit(s) I have made by then.
Contribution: My sense of humor, wackiness, and general niceness. I write some... so yeah...

It's been a hard year, our van has died and getting a new one is going to eat up our savings and gas money.
Sandra Bong here begging on paws and knees for help for the long drive from snowy, yucky Wisconsin to sunny California! I am a full-time artist of both 2 and 3D work and have very much enjoyed FC in the past. I bring with me a love of art, furries and friends old and new, my artwork, the ability to do commissions, lots of plush and dragons and a really wierd sence of humor. I really look forward to sitting in the halls late at night talking to people and doing artwork. I enjoy also talking to the non-furry hotel visitors and trying to convince them that 1) we're harmless! and 2) they may be furries too! This past year I have been plagued with some medical issues and a dying vehicle, so my 'go to CA' monies are now non-existant. Any assistance that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
In the 90's, I was an active publisher of comics and fanzines under the heading of Mad Badger Studios. For several years, I ran a furry comic distribution business from my own home. In 2001, I founded and chaired Furry Spring Break in Orlando, Florida, a small regional convention. Recently, I've been gathering steam to try and relaunch Milikardo Knights, one of the old titles published under the Mad Badger Studios banner. Since Furry Spring Break, I've taken on gopher/volunteer jobs that turned in to staff jobs at Midwest Furfest (2002-present), Anthrocon (2003 - 2005) and Mephit Furmeet (2002-present). I was even dealer's room staff at Further Confusion for several years (2003-2005). I have ample years of experience with helpingconventions, and I can offer assistance where ever it may be needed.
About me:
I'm currently working at a local Wendy's, here in Texas, and also as a writing volunteer for an OpenSource MMORPG project called PlaneShift. Unfortunately, I doubt that with my earnings I'll be able to reach Further Confusion without help. I learned of "the fandom" in May of 2005 and joined FurryMUCK shortly thereafter.
What I can contribute:
I generally carry a positive attitude into anything new, especially since I am often delighted by new revelations. I enjoy trying and learning new things, and I will bring these qualities with me (as opposed to leaving them at home XD ). It's my hope that everyone who encounters me at FC'08 will enjoy the experience more just because they perhaps saw someone else smile. I plan to wear my smile as much as possible, and failing that at least there will be a twinkle in my eye.
Aside from that, I suppose I can only offer to share in the good times and help make fond memories that will last at least until the next convention.
