It is always possible there may be cancellations between now and the convention. You may still wish to check with the DoubleTree by calling +1.408.453.4000 before booking elsewhere.
Currently, we have exceeded our room block and are therefore no longer able to change rooms to the convention rate. Due to this situation, please do NOT attempt to book a room at the full rate and ask us to change it to the convention rate, as we will be unable to do this. What nights are the Further Confusion Rates available?
This year, rooms are available at the convention rate from January 17th to January 23rd, 2007.
How do I reserve a Suite?
Sorry - you've missed your chance. There are only 8 Parlor Suites in the hotel, and they are currently all sold out. You may wish to get on the waiting list - please email with the name and confirmation number you have your existing room reservation booked under.
I want to make sure that I get two beds in my room when I arrive at the hotel this year!
The DoubleTree hotel has completely run out of double-queen rooms. If you require a room with two beds, please make your reservation at the Holiday Inn.
Will there be an overflow hotel/motel set up for attendees of Further Confusion?
We have a list of hotels/motels available in the area (within 2 miles of the Host Hotel). Note that, at this time, there are no group rates for attendees of Further Confusion set up at any hotel on this list. You may wish to shop around for the best rate.
Can I bring live animals to Further Confusion with me?
The DoubleTreehotel does allow pets. The individual will have to pay a $100.00 (per pet) deposit. This deposit is refundable upon check out, though housekeeping will go through each room with a pet to insure no damage occured during their stay. With the exception of service animals (guide dogs), Further Confusion does not allow guests' pets inside of event space, except with the permission of the staff. Further Confusion does not allow pets of any kind within the confines of the Art Show under any condition. If your pet is in its room without your presence, the animal should be placed in a carrier or other enclosure.
If you will be staying at the Holiday Inn, that hotel does not allow pets.
Will there be a Party Floor this year?
Yes, but sorry - we're sold out of rooms on that floor now.
Will there be a Fursuit Floor this year?
Yes, but sorry - we're sold out of rooms on that floor now in the DoubleTree now. The Holiday Inn will not have a Fursuit Floor.
What kind of amenities are available in the guest rooms?
Room Amenities include an Iron/Ironing Board, Coffee Maker, Double Vanity, patio and high speed Internet access in each guest room.
What if I don't live in the United States, and still want to make my reservations, what number do I call?

How many beds are in a Parlor Suite? (DoubleTree only)
One king size bed and a sofa sleeper which folds out into a queen size bed.
Is there shuttle service between San Jose International Airport and the hotel?
Yes. Pick-up: Use the Courtesy Phone in Baggage Claim. Advance Shuttle Reservations: +1 408.453.4000. Other destinations: Trips may be arranged to the Light Rail Station upon request. Daily Schedule: 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 Midnight. There is no free shuttle service to the San Francisco Airport. The Bay Area Super Shuttle Service does provide service from SFO to the San Jose Doubletree. They may be reached for reservations at +1 800.BLUE.VAN.
Are there parking charges at the San Jose Doubletree?
No, the San Jose Doubletree has waived all parking charges for guests at the hotel for Further Confusion, despite parking booths now being in place. See our page on parking for more information.
Is there any deadline for making special hotel requests?
Any special requests (aside from general room bookings) must be made by December 10th 2006. These include requests for Parlor Suites, rooms on the Fursuit Floor, Party Floor rooms, and smoking-permitted rooms.
