Camping FAQ - Rules and Guidelines

Some of this stuff is common sense, and other things are specific campground rules. Please read through this top to bottom to ensure that you come prepared and have a good time. Hard set rules will be listen below in BOLD. Any other questions can be directed to . Thank you.

Because we have a limited number of car parking spaces at the camp ground, please pack like you are going on a plane, unless otherwise cleared. Obviously this is not hard and fast, with things like firewood. Store bought firewood is required at this campground.

Fursuits are encouraged, but let us know if you are bringing one, to help us allocate you space in the carpool.

Payment needs to be in cash, $5/person/night.Please bring exact change, as payment will be collected at the carpool point. You will be issued a waterproof wristband, please wear it the entire time you are camping.

Only one person per tent should contact us. This person will become "tent-leader" and be the central point of contact to FC camping staff for their group. Each camper is responsible for paying their own fees of $5/night in attendance and receiving their own wristband. Some help from their tent leader in organizing this would be appreciated.

Unfortunately animals are not allowed on the camp grounds this year. This was information that we received too late to change our reservation back to the regular camping site.

Bring your own food and water. Drinkable water is on site if you forget the water.

Bring sun block. We are at a new location, and about 80% of the camp site is not shaded.

Bring flashlights & lanterns (Gas and electric is OK) as it will be VERY dark. Bringing good lanterns and good lighting is strongly recommended.

Bring things to sit on. Sitting on the ground for a weekend will become very uncomfortable. Folding chairs are preferred, particularly those that fold up into cylindrical shapes, as they are easy to fit in spare trunk space. Oh and don't forget your sleeping bag.

There are two firepits available for cooking food. There is going to be no camp organized food at the campout. The food you bring is the food you eat (or share). There is also a BBQ available and you may want to bring things that can be cooked on a stick, like hot dogs & such.

Please bring everything you need (or want to share) but nothing more, as you will likely be asked to carpool. Discussing your possible possessions with staff during pre-reg is encouraged, as we can plan for your needs and offerings. If you have a van or truck volunteering to help carpool is greatly appreciated and encouraged.

Parks gates will lock at 10pm. Arrival after that point is NOT POSSIBLE (For that day). The carpool time will be around 7pm, but has not yet been confirmed. Do not plan to arrive late if at all possible, as we have a limited number of parking spaces. A rendezvous point will be announced in a later newsletter.

Alcohol in any form is prohibited at the camp site due to park regulations that specifically apply to the group camping area. These regulations are different than the regulations that applied to the camp sites in previous years.

From the group camp rules. "NO AMPLIFIED MUSIC IS ALLOWED IN PARKS." This is their capitalization, not ours. Live instruments is encouraged.

Of course any illegal drugs are not allowed at the camp site. If you are caught we will ask you to stop and there is a good chance we will ask you to leave. Please understand that this kind of action could get us all kicked out of the camp site and possibly banned from future events.

Please clean up after yourselves. There is a significant deposit on the site. Please do Further Confusion a favor by cleaning up after yourselves so that Further Confusion can get that money back.

Of course, most importantly. Please have a good time and respect your camping neighbours. We want to have a good time and be safe doing it.

Below is how to register:

  1. Send an email to: .
  2. The email should be from the owner of a tent. If you do not have a tent, please find someone to share one with and have them email us your information. They will act as a sort of tent leader. We ask that Tent leaders provide the e-mail addressed of everyone in their tent for updates and news letters for this event.
  3. Please state the number of people that will be sharing the tent with you, and their names. This is not an approximation, it is a reservation for these people.
  4. Please inform us of the days you will be staying. You may stay Friday night (August 11th) and leave during the picnic, arrive after the picnic on Saturday (August 12th) and stay Saturday night leaving Sunday morning(August 13th), or you may stay the entire weekend. Staying past picnic time on Saturday requires payment of the Saturday night fee. It is $5 per person per day.
  5. Please inform us of your departure and arrival times. The carpool on Friday will leave no earlier than 7pm. The exact time is not yet confirmed, but you can make your plans there. It is possible for you to arrive at camp outside of the carpool, but we have limited parking, and may be required to decline your reservation due to parking availability. Please attempt to join the carpool. If you are interested in attending, please contact us, as we will try desperately to accommodate everyone interested in attending.
  6. Please inform us of the type of transportation you will be using to get to the carpool site, or the campout. If you, the "tent leader", are a passenger in another's vehicle, inform us of this. Inform us of the amount of available space in the vehicle. We will probably need to put a person or some luggage in almost every vehicle we allow up to camp. It is like this every year, but we make it work.
  7. The close of pre-registration is August 7th. Please make your decisions promptly, as that is a firm date. After that, we may have to ask you to try again next year.

Hey thanks for reading top to bottom! See you at the camp-out!
